Just a quick update to say that I've changed the way I update the main table on the front page. Rather than the previous convoluted method of exporting the excel file to HTML and then pasting the code into the website, it should now embed the table directly into the page and automaticall update whenever I add new information.
In a nutshell this means that I can update a bit more rapidly from wherever I am rather than having to wait until I am back at a specific PC.

Just a quick update to say that I've moved the 2015 fixtures into an archive page in order to bring more prominence to the 2016 fixtures that are coming up. The details I currently have are fairly sparse, but that's all I can find at the moment.
I've also added links to the Africa United and Lebanon Youth RL crowdfunding campaigns to the main page. Please have a look at these campaigns and seriously consider putting some money into them I've spent a little bit of time trying to decide what to do with the Latin Heat fixtures. Whilst they are not an officially sanctioned nation (as they are a collection of nations), I understand their importance in the spread of the game. I set this site up primarily to keep myself up-to-date with upcoming international fixtures, so I'm going to include their fixtures on the main list but italicised to indicate their unsanctioned nature. I may spin them off into a different section at some point in the future though.
The Nordic Cup has been decided, with Denmark winning both of their matches to retain the title, having won 3 of the 5 competitions.
There are 3 matches being played this weekend, with Germany hosting The Netherlands in a friendly on Saturday, and Serbia will travel to Italy for the next match in European Championship B as the road to RLWC2017 continues. Serbia are currently leading the table on 6 points, although Italy have a game in hand, and could take the lead with a win by more than 50 points. Sunday sees Belgium and Malta face off before the Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC match at Headingley Stadium in a match that I'm particularly looking forward to as I shall be there myself! And finally, in a bit of housekeeping, I've corrected the date for the Ireland v Belgium match (the original press release did list it as Sunday 13th July. I should have noticed that that is actually a Monday!). There is also now a full match replay of the Spain v Germany match a couple of weeks ago. Due to the ongoing conflict between the two nations, the Ukraine v Russia match will be played on neutral ground at the Makis Stadium in Belgrade, Serbia. All of the Serbia matches have been live streamed, so hopefully this will also be the case here. I'll update once I hear back.
I housekeeping news, there's been a slight change to the kickoff times on the main list as these will now be the local times the matches will be played. This is essentially because 19:30 on a Saturday in Toronto is 00:30 on Sunday in the UK, and I can't figure out the best way to label the different dates. I've set up this site after I realised that there isn't really anywhere that collates all the international fixtures. There's a site that I used to use, but as of typing this they still only have 4 fixtures listed for the year, none of which are in Europe and don't even include the England/NZ series at the end of the year.
Because of this, I figured that if you want something doing, you might as well do it yourself and in just over a day I've managed to collate 30 fixtures together, and at least I now have a central place I can see these at. If nothing else, this site will help me decide on potential holiday dates/locations. I'll try to keep this as up-to-date as I can, and there are a few more things I've got in the pipeline. |
