Seems to have been a pretty close match, with SA pulling into a 16-0 lead but Philippines pulling it back to 16-12 before the end of the first half. The difference in the score being down to the Tamaraws being unable to convert any of their tries.
The second half continued in a similar vein, with SA going a couple of scores ahead and Philippines pulling closer. The Rhinos never really looked in danger of losing, at which point the Tamaraws clawed their way to within 4 points and took the game right down to the wire, but the South Africans ultimately managed to hold out for the victory. A good win for South Africa, and a great effort from The Philippines in their closest ever game
